I can get caught up in the minutiae of everyday human tasks just as much as the next person. However, for the past 10 or so years I have developed functions and ways to shift my mind to recollect the bigger picture. I feel a great sense of calm and wonder whenever I see the ‘Blue Marble’ perspective of our planet Earth, from space. It enables me to realise how tiny I am and how interconnected and incredible all life on Earth is. Whenever I am reminded of this my hang-ups about whether my stomach is too fat or is my website getting enough hits melts into insignificance. I then feel grateful and thankful, and that my energy and life is too precious to be wasted on such trivialities. Let’s look after our home and each other.
