Our brains tend to look for stuff to do; things to think about. Until I learnt the value of acknowledging myself, the idea of focussing my busy brain on positive thoughts about myself seemed simply indulgent or selfish, essentially a waste of time! However, for the last 16 years I have regularly taken the time to think about the things that I like about myself. My self esteem is pretty high, I tend not to compare myself and I know this practice of self- acknowledgment helps me think more highly of myself and see the best in others too.
 
So, grab a notepad and give yourself some TLC
